Our Philosophy
Hi, I'm Erin, owner of Honey Bear Tea. As a once avid coffee drinker...yes, I said coffee, I never could have imagined my life without a 4+ cup a day indulgence. Coffee was my jumper cables in the busy grind of food service work. Then BAM! My husband and I were delighted to find out we would be welcoming our little Honey Bear in 9 short months. Clearly my coffee habits had to go! As painful as it was to say goodbye to my old friend Joe, I discovered the wonderful world of tea and haven't looked back since. I've been creating artisan teas for over 6 years now and still find such joy in creating different blends and flavors and learning more about tea, spices and herbs every day.
Fun Fact
The story of tea begins in China. According to legend, in 2737 BC, the Chinese emperor Shen Nung was sitting beneath a tree boiling drinking water, when some leaves from the tree blew into the water. Shen Nung, a renowned herbalist, decided to try the infusion and accidentally discovered tea! So thanks to a gusty day and a man who wasn't afraid to drink mystery plant matter, we get to enjoy the wonderful world of tea
